The grandest of the Iowa gambling halls is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an Amerindian casino in Tama, with 127,669 square feet of gambling space, 1,500 slot machines, thirty table games, such as 21, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous types of poker; also three eatery’s, bimonthly entertainment, and betting advice. One more big Native American gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slot machines, and fourteen table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and 4 dining rooms. There are numerous other popular Iowa casinos, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a riverboat gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. Another Iowa river based gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open all hours, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. riverboat casino in Clinton, has 506 one armed bandits, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday 21 tournaments.
Iowa casinos present a fantastic amount of tax money to the state government of Iowa, which has allowed the bankrolling of many state wide activities. Visitors have grown at a rapid rate along with the demand for services and an increase in jobs.
